Jim Johnson

Jim Johnson resides in Bossier City, Louisiana. He became interested in genealogy after retiring from the Air Force in 1995. Jim has served on the Board of Directors for the Ark-La-Tex Genealogical Association since 2000. He has served or assisted in every board position and is currently the association’s President. Other leadership positions include 10 years as President of the Walkerville School Historical Association in Columbia County, Arkansas. Jim was born and raised in Columbia County and attended Emerson High School and Southern State College (now Southern Arkansas University). He joined the USAF and served for 30 years in the field of logistics/transportation. His overseas assignments included, Korea, Thailand, Japan, Turkey, Spain and Germany plus three assignments to Little Rock AFB.
