Kitchen Roundtable Talks

The Arkansas Genealogical Society is excited to announce the launch of a new Zoom forum called “Kitchen Roundtable Talks.” Each month, we will select a genealogical topic or application to engage in a lively discussion among a group of participants online. Due to the limited capacity of the Zoom screen, we will initially limit the group to 25 participants. Therefore, registration is required. In the event of a high demand for a specific topic, we can arrange an additional meeting to accommodate more participants.

We eagerly invite individuals to suggest topics of interest and encourage volunteers to lead discussions on subjects they are particularly passionate about. It is important to note that this initiative is a work in progress, and we anticipate making adjustments based on trial and error. Your participation and feedback are invaluable as we refine our approach.

Free Zoom Presentations

If you are the program chairperson of a local genealogical or historical society, AGS is now offering a new service crafted especially for you and your organization. It is a list of topics and AGS speakers who are available to share free selected genealogical lectures with your organization through an internet Zoom connection. These lectures cover a wide selection of Arkansas genealogy topics. For a list of the topics and additional information, click here. Check back periodically since new topics may be added.

Outreach Committee

AGS recognizes that there are some local clubs in the state that are struggling to survive due to the pandemic and other issues. We would like to help. If you are in such a club or know of one, please let us know by writing to outreach@argensoc.org.
