Free Virtual Event via Zoom

On Saturday, October 16, 2021, the Arkansas Genealogical Society will host its Annual Genealogy Conference as a free, one-day, virtual event. The event will take place via Zoom and is being sponsored by the Arkansas Black History Commission.

Saturday’s event will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The featured speaker for the conference will be Lisa Louise Cooke, host of the Genealogy Gems Podcast. Mrs. Cooke will present four topics (in bold):

1:45 PM Create a Free Google Earth Map Collection for Your Research
3:00 PM Ending Goodbyes

The conference will also include the Arkansas Genealogical Society’s annual meeting and will reveal the winners of its yearly Arkansas Family Historian writing contests. AGS has served the state’s genealogy community since 1962.

Registration is free but attendees must register for the event with a valid email address and must download the Zoom app to their computer or device.
